Believe & Make a Wish Come True

Imagine a world without belief, or a child that doesn’t believe in anything. Many of us have seen "Miracle on 34th Street" and remember the one little girl that just couldn’t believe. But magic happened when she began. Remember her saying, "I believe, I believe. It’s silly but I believe." There was such a feeling in the moment she heard those words, especially when you see her eyes light up. Just like a child on Christmas morning.
Do you believe? Macy’s Does!
This year Macy’s wants to make sure that they put the "BELIEF" back in all of us, especially the young ones. For every letter addressed to Santa they (MACY’S) will donate $1 towards the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. There wish is to donate $1,000,000. Can you help them? Now that’s a great reason to get out that box of crayons and paper and let your kids just write those letters to Santa.
Just know that you aren’t just making a magical moment for them, but possibly one for a child on the make a wish foundation. Isn’t that worth it? The "Believe" was inspired by an 8-year-old little girl, Virginia O’Hanlon back in 1897. She wrote a letter asking if there really was a Santa Claus. Her response was YES, there is. Why not show her?
Details: Write your letter to Santa and deliver it to Macy’s. Macy’s will make sure to drop them off at the Post Office to mail to Santa, just in time. You can even download Santa Stationary right at the Macy’s site. By the way, MOMS & DADS, you can do this too.
GIVEAWAY:
I’m having a giveaway here too, just to entice you to send those letters out and help me spread the word. Come on folks, it’s for a GREAT cause and if you haven’t been able to donate this year this is your chance. One winner will get a $20 GC to Macy’s. Comment below on your favorite Christmas memory.
Extra entries for those that help spread the word about Macy’s Believe: Twitter this and drop a link showing me, post it on your site and link to me, etc. Let’s make some wishes come true!
Deadline: December 27th, I’ll announce the winner on the 28th.

One favorite memory of mine is every year the week before Christmas my dad would get out a special Christmas puzzle (1000 pieces) that had scenes from The Night Before Christmas poem. We’d work on it all week off and on and try to get it finished before Christmas Eve. A couple years ago my parents found the same puzzle through ebay so that I can keep the tradition going with my kids. (My dad still puts his own puzzle together every year and if we visit before Christmas, we try to help.) Thanks for the giveaway.
Unfortunately I live about an hour from the closest Macy’s, so I Tweeted to help get the word out:)

My favorite Christmas memory.is when a friend of mine dressed up as Santa and surprised my children on Christmas Eve. We all had a lot of fun and they still remember.

My favorite Christmas memory is the very first one I spent with my husband. He was my boyfriend at the time. It just felt so wonderful to have him take me to all of the family gatherings. Everyone seemed to welcome me. I just loved everything about that Christmas.
My favorite Christmas memory is peeking into the living room at five in the morning and seeing tons of presents under the tree, the stockings filled, and a brand new dollhouse. The only light in the room was from the tree lights. It was magical.
My favorite Christmas memory is when we use to go to Grandma’s house on Christmas Eve and have hot cocoa, warm glazed doughnuts and listen to Grandpa read the Night Before Christmas to us.

Macy’s is a great company and they help out a lot of needy people. My favorite Christmas memory is decorating cookies with my sisters every year and then making our parents judge whose was the best! Thanks!
My favorite memory is watching my 3 sons all open matching brand-new bikes when they were little. Their faces were priceless and that was one day when there were no arguments!
My favorite Christmas memory was waking up on Christmas day and seeing the tree all lit with all the presents under it when I was a kid.
My favorite Christmas memory was a few years ago when my finance bought us an “our new home” ornament and at the top of it was our names. So sweet.
My favorite Christmas memory just happened this year when my son gave me his letter to Santa. (He’s 9, btw).
He said in it:
“Dear Santa, To make the world a better place I would give every homeless person a house and presents. I would also make sure cops had extra armor so they wouldn’t get hurt. All the homeless kids would get food. That’s how I would make the world a better place. PS. I want a skateboard.”
I just thought it was sweet
My favorites are the ones I make every year. The tastes of the hand made candy, the experience of opening the stockings first, the smell of cocoa and watching the same movies and the smooshy good feelings of giving. Yummo!
My favorite Christmas memory…wow…there are a few. 2002, I was pregnant with my first daughter, anxiously awaiting the birth of a baby we’d been trying to conceive for 10 years. Then in 2003, I was pregnant with my SECOND daughter! (LOL…seriously!) Then in 2005, my third daughter and I came home from the hospital on Christmas Eve. And this year – having our little boy in the house has made our family complete, perfect and wonderful. Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year, especially when sharing it with our children
My favorite Christmas memory was my first Christmas as a new mommy with Max. I held him on my lap as I opened cookware, cookbook, utensils, ladles, etc – everything I needed to complete our new home.
My favorite Christmas memory is the year I truly appreciated my mom for all the hard work she put into sewing us clothes to give us a great Christmas. We didn’t have a lot of money and I finally realized all those hours she put into making those wonderful outfits.
Each Christmas that I get to spend with my family is my favorite.
Hello! One Christmas, all I wanted was a
Chatty Cathy doll. My dad had been working 2-3 jobs to support our family of five. My older brother and siter had told me not to expect too much. I will never forget that Christmas morning when I got up in the wee hours and saw Chatty Cathy standing under our Christmas tree. Many thanks, Cindi
