Breastfeeding Chairs

I’d never heard of this until today but I think having a chair designed specifically towards breastfeeding is a grand idea. While it is easy enough to sit in a regular chair or booth and breastfeed your child this has got to be easier on the mother, not to mention more relaxing for the baby.

The chair is designed by Nicola Hart, it has a soft seat so your rear doesn’t hurt after sitting for a while since some babies do like to nurse for 15-30 minutes or more. There’s a foot rest directly below the chair so you can get really comfortable and the chair arms go up to your head so those next to you won’t sit and stare and you can feed your little one in privacy. While it may be legal to breastfeed in public many still frown upon it, this chair gives the mom a bit of freedom and help those that haven’t moved forward with breastfeeding in public.

In a lot of ways this chair reminds me of one of those private desks (with surrounding walls) that you can find in a library. That part of the desk and the bottom of your chair are put together to create this unusual but nice, breastfeeding chair.
