My baby is now 18 months old and I've had normal periods since they resumed about 7 months ago, except til today (the first day of my period) I've had the worst cramps -which I've never had during the 20 odd years I've been getting my period. It was similiar to the last trimester cramps & the same "still healing" feeling as well mentioned above.
I do have an IUD but that has been in for about 16 months now and never had a problem before with that either. My last pap and annual exam was all normal.
Has anyone else experienced this too? Of course I'm not insured and can't afford to just pop into the doctor.I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

I had my second child just over 3 years ago and wasin hospitial for most the pregnacy with the baby groing up against my pelvice. I was told doctors that this would go away however it didnt and i have been to see the doc who just keeps givingme tablets and telling me that i need to do more exercise.

However being a single parent of two kids working outside with young people all the time and studing in unioversity i can t find anymore time.

The pain has become so bad that i am now moving back in to my mothers i just dont know what to do.

The pic looks like she's trying to hold her boobs up, not like she has cramps heh

I've only recently gotten my period back as my son is only 10 months old, but since I've had him my uterus goes all kamikaze on me and leaves me crippled and vomiting in the bathroom for the first day. I had cramps like this during puberty too, so perhaps its a hormonal thing.

I had my first child almost 5 months ago and I still feel like I am healing from my C-section. I feel "loin-y", if there is such a word. Like my womb is sore and achy. If I exert myself, it hurts like cramps are coming on. And when I get my period, it feels like I'm 15 years old with the terrible cramps you have to stay home from school with. I hope it's all normal and part of the healing process...

Before I was pregnant I never had any cramps during my periods, just a mild stomachache and maybe a headache. But now that I'm getting my periods again after having my first child, I have BAD cramps. In fact during my last period, we were at a restaurant, the food was barely served, it tasted great, and then I was struck with the worst cramps I have ever had--I compared them to contractions or the cramps I had when I miscarried, they were that painful. I went to the bathroom and tried to calm down, but we ended up bagging the food and going home, where I had to take a warm bath and then huddle on the bed for hours.
