I’ve done a little of all, I think. I worked. Quit my job to travel the world with hubby. Had a baby. Stayed at home. Worked Part time. Worked from home. Went back to the office. I needed the office as much as anything. Fortunately, I make good money and so does hubby, so the cost of childcare was not an issue.

Cami- When I had my first I decided I wouldn’t work, that I was going to be a SAHM and loved it. It wasn’t until my third child that I tried making money online and since became a WAHM. I have always loved being home with my kids, even more now that I can make money for the little things around the house.

Davids- I think due to child care has been the biggest reason I’ve never considered working outside the home. It wouldn’t be worth it because I wouldn’t make enough.

I agree with the cost of child care being so expensive. But what about when the child is old enough to go to school all day. Would you still stay home?

I am about to have my first baby, and I’ve decided to stay home with her. The main reason is that I want to be there to raise her. I will be quitting my current job, which does make me a little nervous, but that decision is mostly based on finances–the cost of childcare and commuting will not be much more than I will earn, so I would rather be home with her and deal with the lost income.
