Yeah, now I just need my doctors to come to some kind of a consensus on what's medically wrong with me!

My parents told me the other day that they will be the official "investors" for all my infertility/adoption/birthing costs. I'd be completely screwed if it wasn't for them.

I should do a post on what it costs. You would be amazed.
Our first son...30,000+

Our second was going to be about 35,000 but will now run in the mid 20's because we will be in the US.

Now, this does not count the almost 15,000 in infertility treatments we did prior and the 20,000 we have used in medical care since.

Well, Mod Mum, the repayments would be one thing that lasted longer than labour.

wow.

Seeing that amount up there is scary. I'm so glad that we have the NHS, there wouldn't be a chance in hell I could afford that ever!

I did look into the costs for a private hospital birth when I was pregnant, as I wanted an epidural and my local hospital doesn't offer them. not only are there no privatehospitals near me that have birthing facilities, but if I did find one, it'd cost me around £5-6000. Ouch, I think that'd be more painful than the actual labour!
