The first baby born by IVF in the UK happened earlier this week. For those that don’t know IVF is when the doctors freeze the embryos so a couple can try having a baby later in life. It is not a common practice in the UK, in fact this is all in the beginning stages. So there can be trial and errors, but in this case it was all good.
The lucky couple named their precious daughter, Evie. Her parents had been trying since 2001 to get pregnant and were finally able to do just that. Instead of trying over and over again, the couple opted to try IVF and have her embroyos froze until they were ready to try again. This would also make a possible pregnancy just a little easier. It didn’t work at first but then it did and success, her baby girl was born.

I think you might have some of your details wrong.
IVF technology started in Britain 30+ years ago.

Based on a quick search, I think you are talking about the first Wales IVF baby:

Thanks for the IVF post, though. I’m a huge fan since that’s how all 3 of my kids were made.
