We only see our families once a year and so, these visits are full of gifts. Giving, receiving, laughter. The problem is, bringing all the stuff home and finding places to keep it.
This needn’t be a problem.
The baby grows out of her clothes so quickly, we appreciate not having to dress her ourselves.
Our three year-old, on the other hand, gets a lot of toys he doesn’t need and only plays with once. There is one, low cost, small gift that will buy you a place in and 3 year-old’s heart…

Oh my goodness, that is one of my 2 year old’s favorite things ever!!! The 5 year old loves it, too, for her crafts. Do your kids call it Sticky Tape because of Dora, too?
Oh my mother used to always say that children don’t need bought toys- give them a pot and a wooden spoon and they are perfectly happy!
Kerri- The name I grew up with for this product of wonders was “Scotch tape” but my son learned “Sticky tape” from watching craft shows on BBC Prime.
When we were at home in Canada, Dora influenced our lives in other ways. The Backpack Song, come to mind first. Our big boy watched the show with his slightly younger cousin, who also answers to the name Dora. BB is now answers to Diego.
Sarah- Your mother was so right! Wooden spoons, pots, sticks and stones make a child’s world a hppier place.
