Giving Birth Makes you Smarter

Wow, now this is something I had no clue about. Did you know that while we (moms) might get “Momnesia” for a while after giving birth, but we actually get smarter? According to a report done a few months ago they have discovered that not only do we get smarter but giving birth also lowers our risk of cancer. Better hide this finding before the hubby tells me I should have another. (he wants a football team) There are a lot of findings in the link above, read it and comment back here to comment.

I had heard about the lower cancer risk – yay! – but the reduced stress levels is a new one. And did you catch the ‘pregnant women are entitled to free dentistry’ bit? I had never heard of that! Seems like I paid my dentist the same amount….

I thought that was great. But agree with you my dentist always gave me a bill. :( So not fair.

Yes in the UK we something called the National Health Service. Pregnant women get free dental care, and it continues for a year after birth.
Have you seen Michael Moore’s film ‘Sicko’?
    Very scary.

PS smarter? I was hoping that one day I’d be able to outsmart her – no chance now then.
