Heart Transplant bug Doctors

Heart transplants are normally something that makes everyone feel uncomfortable wether people admit to it or not but this case has everyone upset, morally and emotionally. But this time many wonder if what the doctors did were right. You be the judge.
Doctors went head to head as someone decided it would be okay to take the organs out of babies before they were even declared brain dead. Yep, they were in a sense still alive and had hope. But someone in the hospital thought the hearts could be used one a baby that would make it if given the chance. They’d already written the babies off.
The more disturbing news is this is not a first time, this procedure as they call it is known as declaration of cardiocirculatory death (DCD) and they normally take the organs before the brain stops working and right after the heart stops. Even if it means they just stopped for a moment, you could be dealing with a doctor that wants those organs NOW. This is for those that agree to donate their organs, or their children’s organs.
I must admit this is a bit worrisome as what happens if they take a heart from a body or liver, etc, and find out that that body could’ve been brought back to life. But was never given the chance because another body down the hall needed these organs and they had already written your child/self off. This could be devastating for a family, granted at the same time it could make all the difference to another.
Dr. Grodin had this to say:
“To my standard, the person is not dead,” he said. “Taking the heart of somebody [when there's a] question of whether they’re dead or not is a serious concern.”
In this case, he said, the patient clearly does not meet the necessary criteria of having the heart irreversibly stopped.
“If you’re going to take out the heart, obviously the heart starts up again or you couldn’t do the transplant, so it’s clearly not irreversible,” he said.
What’s your take on this? When should one take the organs? After the brain stops? After the heart stops? Or when they’ve tried everything and nothing has worked?

I think you should take it out when the brain has stop. Once the brain has stop then you know if they come back they would be in veg state I just cannt believe they would let that Dr do that
Hi There John
I wonder if you could please help me. Im writing from South Africa. My sister’s boyfriend’s dad has had a couple of heart attacks already. He is only using 15% of his heart. They wanted to put a pase maker in but he got bad news this week that a pase maker will not work. The only option is a heart transplant. The waiting list her is about 3800 people and only about a 1000 people get chosen.
Could you please perhaps help us in directing us to a doctor anywhere in the world to try and help us.
Thank you so much,Bless you.
Kind Regards
