My son has just turned a year old, he got his first tooth at two months when his second tooth came in he started grinding his teeth together. Dentist says it is common and since they are baby teeth it doesn’t really matter.
Did your son/daughter grind their teeth? What did you do to stop it? This is one of those noises that I can’t stand, like nails on a chalkboard?

My son has ground his teeth since the first time he could make two teeth meet. The noise is worse than nails on a chalkboard. Hell, it’s worse tham Mariah Carey singing accapella. My dentist wasn’t worried either because “they’re only baby teeth” The only thing that stops my son is a gentle poke in the side which makes him change sleeping position. I’ve been looking for a cure for 4 years now with no luck.
I just woke up to the horrible sound of my 8 soon to be 9 month old daughter grinding her two bottom teeth against her two upper teeth. I can hardly bare it!!! It’s Mother’s Day for crying out loud! I just wanted a little quite time to spend with my little bundle of joy today until this…this thing starts to happen with her teeth?!! I jumped up and got on the internet to see if it was normal or if my child needed an excorsism!! Yes, it normal I keep reading…but hell their talking about this going on until she is how old…3 or 4 years old?!!! What?!! Why?!!
i have a 1yr old daughter and she has 4 teeth at the top and bottom. she just recently started grinding her teeth and its annoying its worst then nails on a chalkboard. i cant bare it.isnt there anything to make it stop like maybe a bitter tasting spray??
my son is nearly 10 months and the past two days he has started to grind his teeth its driving me nuts it really goes through me makes my teeth go all funny its hard to get a 9 month old to stop so i suppose its something i have to put up with until i can get him to stop it
