How About a Chick that Peeps?

Anne is a rebel. What else can you expect from a writer? She played in Part Two of the Generous December Group Writing Project, but by her own rules. She bought her adult children farm animals for Christmas via Heifer International.

Well, Anne, I’ll give to your charity by your rules. Inspired by you, I got my mother a flock of chicks for Christmas.

OK, Mum, those are actually ducks in the e-card picture, but I gave you a flock of chicks.

According to the Heiffer web site:

Heifer International provides livestock and training so that families can improve nutrition and earn income for health care, shelter and education for children. Each gift multiplies because every family that receives a Heifer animal promises to “pass on the gift” by giving one or more of their animal’s offspring and knowledge to another family in need.

True, I got you a book too, but I thought fluffy little chicks sounded like the perfect gift for you. Merry Christmas Mummy!
