Huggies Pull-Ups knows how hard it is to train those babies and they know how much money we, as parents tend to spend on diapers just to get them potty trained. So, Huggies is sponsoring Babylune with this giveaway, where two winners will get a Potty Training Success Packages. They’ve sent me my own Potty Training package, which I’ll review later this week, but lets start off by saying you get diapers, a DVD and a surprise for your little one.

The book Toilet Training in Less than a Day by Dr. Nathan Azrin, is invaluable – and was great for us!

  2. Maggie Branca says:

My daughter loves to use the computer. When we went full force with potty training I put her in underwear (no diaper) and kept reminding her to use the potty. She had two “pee-pee” accidents that day but that was it. When it came time to “poo-poo” we struggled with her. We promised her 1 hour of computer time on “her websites”. It worked like a charm, we had no more “poo-poo” accidents after we came up with that incentive for her. I would like to try the learning designs for Boys as I will be potty training my son very soon!

  3. Ashley says:

Our DD will be 3 in October. We “began” when she was 2. Mind you the version of began was simply putting it in the bathroom. She seemed interested in going and would every once in awhile but we did not push it. We started again a couple of months ago. We tried praise first because I just hated to bribe her! I learned though- we had to bribe! I bought her some stickers at the dollar store and a little holder. They are in the bathroom with one sticker for #1 and two for #2. At first we tried putting stickers on a blank (not even numbers) Dora calendar. We told her after 7 (a whole row) she could pick out a treat (at the Dollar Store). She preferred keeping the stickers as opposed to saving them. The results…she is doing a whole lot better. She will go #1 and #2. She goes by herself and when we ask her. I have not made the transition to big girl panties bc we still have wet pull-ups. But we are on the right track! If we win we would like size 2t cool-alert pullups. Thank you!

  4. Ret says:

Sitting is working with no problem but when it’s successful, I think it’s just an accident but I praise all the same! I can’t even think about aim at this point! I like the cool alert nighttime.

  5. alison says:

We’re getting a potty chair for our 16 month old so she can “practice” before we really begin to train her. She’s already showing signs of wanting to use the potty, so we hope she’ll be easier to train than her brother!

  6. Sonya says:

I’ve tried just about everything with my kids, but this week the sticker chart seems to be working best! I love the cool alert training pants!

  7. Amy Stoesser says:

I have worked in a PK classroom for the last 10 years. I feel like I have potty trained the world. My advice is to put them on the potty every hour during the day. You will catch them eventually at the right time. The m&m’s work too!

  8. Sarah b says:

Cheerios for boys to aim and offering m&ms for a treat if he goes are our tricks! I would love the night time pull ups

  9. wow i love to try and win this my little one is well olny 15 mo’s old and all ready showing sings that shes wanting to use the potty and if i did wn this it would help out a lot thanks

  10. Renee Turner says:

We do the sticker chart when he goes.

  11. Bebemiqui says:

I tried to let my daughter run around naked to get used to the feel of it.

  12. Vickie Couturier says:

we have a potty song an dance an it seems to be working, one for pee,an one for poo, only mamaw does it with him an he does wonderful for me,mom an dad are gonna try it now,hey its working, but only if he goes in the potty or commode,an it makes it fun for him,an yes its silly, but thats okay too,but we sure could use this too, thanks

  13. lorene says:

my now 8 year old daughter was allowed to call her Grammie in Florida every time she went on the potty, it worked like a charm

  14. amy says:

    I’d like to try starting!

LOL. I actually wanted to start at a few months, my husband’s mom and his sister told me all day long on our visit how my husband and all of their kids were potty trained well before nine months. My baby was celebrating his first birthday then.

I have the potty but haven’t been consistent. I put him on in the morning. So far he’s good about peeing when Itake off his diaper and put him on his potty – but what he does is sit down for a second and then run into the living room and pee on the floor! I think it would be easier with the Cool Alert Pull ups because I think he would indicate to me that he’s in the process and it would be much easier to pull down rather then unsnap the sides.

I was thinking of keeping treats in the bathroom like stickers and if he evers poops a little gummy shark maybe. He isn’t quite two – he’s twentymonths but I have to try something. I’d love for him to trained by the time I visit his family again!

  15. sarah b says:

there was a book called, ‘potty training in a day’ and I would like to try this with my son. I know a friend who tried this and it worked with her daughter.

  16. Lisa Galloway says:

My sone has not gotten to the potty yet but soon…I hope to let him know not to be scared and to relax….we will probly watch a backyardigan or read a book, he likes both of those and forgets everything around his so maybe it would be the perfect distraction to help him potty

  17. TRACY HEYER says:

WE TRY THE CHEERIOS! WE PRAISE HIM WHEN HE DOES GO POTTY! THAT MAKES HIM WANT TO GO EVEN MORE!

  18. Melissa says:

My grand niece is just starting to try potty training, I know this would really help!

  19. Molly Capel says:

I would love to try the night time ones. We’ve tried switching straight to undies, using pullups, and sticker charts.

  20. rachel burke says:

    stickers and cookies work

  21. Sharold says:

I have found when they are ready it is much easier than doing it by when everyone else thinks it is time.

  22. James Jenkins says:

promised to give him the toy he wanted if he used the potty for one week-he received stars when he used the potty

  23. christina radich says:

We let our son watch us go potty and everytime we change his diaper we say poopoo in the potty and now he’s getting to the point where he understands he needs to poop in the potty but doesnt actually do it yet. The cool alert are the ones that would best work for us.

  24. sabb266 says:

We tried everything with our children and then realized that it was all up to them. Realizing this has made it so much easier with our grandchildren! Of course, we still expose them to others going potty and give rewards when they do go themselves but in the end again, when they are ready they will do it all the time!

    Thanks

  25. mindy pong says:

    love to win

  26. Jessica C says:

I am trying everything with no luck i think i will try bribing him o sit on the potty next. he don’t want anything to do with it.

  27. Will Jackovich says:

My son would benefit from this.

  28. KIM B says:

    lots of praise

  29. Dawn Sollitto says:

We are using a reward approach for my son. He wants to get a pet. We are using this to get him to be fully potty trained.

  30. S K says:

I am potty training my daughter. I made her a box of her fav. things books, paper, crayons and stickers. When she goes potty I pull out the box and we play. I’ve tried everything treats, bribes and nothing worked. We still have bad days, but we have good ones too.

  31. Denyse says:

My little guy TRIES really hard but every now and again still slips up at night. bWe have him pee before bed and we stop liquids 2 hours before bedtime.

  32. Judy Y says:

Lots of praise and the get to wear big girl panties that she picked out..

  33. Sandy says:

I think it’s important to have the night time training pants … potty training’s not just for daytiime anymore! Try waking the child up and having him/her go just before you go to bed. Unless you all go to bed at the same time that gives them a couple of hours to get rid of the suppertime milk! (Usually they don’t actually ‘wake up’) – they just go like little zombies.

  34. Heather B says:

lots of praise and encouragement. So far getting to wear the big girl panties is working though we do still have our slip ups, when shes just tooo busy to go

  35. Terre Neesham says:

I have potty trained two children one boy and one girl. The best way I have found to do it is in the summer, because they can get their clothes on and off easy, and because you can be in the yard where there is less mess to clean up. I just let them go, and go and they learn to go in the potty after several attempts.

  36. Margaret V says:

Well it’ll be a while till we potty train our 3 month old son, but we’ll be trying the cheerio aiming method, lol.

  37. Paula Harmon says:

When my daughter watches her potty video, she does great. Then they talk about wiping and she runs to the bathroom and ruins the roll of toilet paper, unrolling 50 feet of it, etc…so I started saving rolls when they were almost used up and when she is “training” I give her a roll of her own and it has worked out really well.

  38. Autumn says:

I am in the process of potty training 3 year old twin girls and it is very hard. One will use the potty but is very lazy and the other one just doesn’t get it yet.

  39. Hesper F says:

    Lots of praise and patience

  40. My daugther is 1 and will be 2 years old in 3 months. Right now I am getting her use to the idea of a potty. I brought her a small potty that uses music and has a handle for “flushing” At first she just saw it as a toy but now she will go to it and sit on it for a few seconds with her clothes on.
I am not sure how I am going to do her potty training when she turns two which is why I am researching now.
I want to use the Huggies feel and learn pull ups.

  41. Pamela White says:

What worked for my oldest child was having a tonka truck as a prize on display and stickers added when he would have success in the toilet. We had an addaptive toilet seat instead of a potty chair.

  42. Ashley says:

My son just started walking, and I plan to buy a potty soon just to get him used to the idea of it being there.

I know that aside from that, I’ll just have to go off of his cues for readiness and use lots of patience and rewards!

  43. Sherri Siler says:

We just started potty training. We watched the Elmo Potty Dvd many times. I am trying to talk her into using the potty like Elmo does.

  44. Stephanie C. says:

I’ve been giving my daughter sticker and candy rewards. I believe in rewarding good behavior and NOT punishing accidents. She is doing fairly well but still has a few accidents now and then. I would like to try the Cool Alerts brand.

  45. gina snow says:

    reward with prize

  46. Jane Squires says:

When I potty trained my oldest daughter, she loved fancy frilly things. I purchased fancy frilly underwear for her and when she would go three times without having a mishap, she would get the pair. She would always know what ones she was working for. Today I think the character underwear would work too. It worked with her well. I did not have a problem with my second one.

  47. Stephen Alexander says:

I want to try cheerios for aim!

  48. bridget b says:

With my older daughter, we waited until she was three and then just stopped using diapers all at once and she did fine – no accidents. I would like to try the cool alerts with my son and start him earlier.

  49. susan p says:

we need to start soon, thanks

  50. Christina DeMarco says:

I would like to try learning designs….I have tried Cool Alert, and well, my 3 yr. old just doesn’t care! I have tried just about everything else, he will go #1, but not #2 yet!
