I Shouldn’t Drive

It’s a beautiful, bright summer afternoon here in Frankfurt. I was planning to go shopping tonight while the stores are empty. Everyone else will be watching, or preparing to watch, the World Cup.
I think of shopping alone as the height of luxury these days, but I am so tired I don’t think I should drive to the shops. I wonder how many parents who drive SUVs or really big cars are really too exhausted to be behind the wheel.
I was at the Fressgass yesterday. Full!!!
Everyone is definitely in the Zentrum. We just got back from the Vivarium in Darmstadt and it was empty. I bet if I went shopping now — a few minutes into the second half — every shop would be empty.
haha to think, all malls (at least MTZ and in the city) will be open until 10pm and even open in the pm on sundays!
