I have some serious blog-jolting to catch up on. Kristy Shreve Powers is one practical post- er and I am going to indulge in her “Spruced Up Salads” often. Sorry it took me so long, Kristy. I have had to break it to my Dora-and-Diego-obsessed son that neither I, his grandmother, or the priest he met yesterday are Spanish speakers.
My friends Hsien and Kerri (who really does speaks Spanish!) at Playlibrary were also featured, but I was so involved with having the flu, that I didn’t even notice.

I am still trying to figure out why, though, you think I speak Spanish. I think my kids know more Spanish than me from watching Dora (although that is quite a bit! ha). I know very little. 
Really? I thought you were half-Hispanic? Perhaps it’s just the way you describe setting cakes on fire…
I am Hispanic (half Mexican), but was never around any of my family that actually spoke Spanish.
I wish I had been. Yeah, I use what I know to add flair in the kitchen.
