Jardine Baby Crib Recalls

Back in June there was a big recall on 320,000 Jardine Cribs, then near the end of the year there was yet another recall on the Jardine. Why the recalls? The wooden crib slats were a bit flimsy and would break, making a gap that a baby could get stuck between. Total, at least back then was 42 incidents, 4 of which were babies trapped in the space. Later in the year the second recall would be after 19 more incidents. The cribs could be bought at Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Geoffrey Stores and KidsWorld for around $150-$300.
The recall has grown to 376,450 total. If you find you have one of these recalled Jardine cribs stop using it immediately and take it back for a full credit toward a new crib.

That’s horrible. Geez. It’s a BABY bed. Who thought it was a good idea to skimp on the construction of a baby bed? That sucks.
I feel bad for the families whose babies were hurt by these beds. What a nightmare.
