Jon & Kate Plus 8: Visit the Old House

jon8kate

Jon & Kate plus their 8 kids and 2 dogs all went back to the old house last night to say goodbye and do a bit of cleaning. My first thought was why bring the puppies? Won’t that be hard to clean and chase the dogs too? (here’s some cute photos of them) But after moving into the grand house they now have, will they miss the old one? Probably not, sure there’ll be moments of emotion but that probably won’t last long once Kate remembers all the space she now has.

Can you take a moment and list a few memories you have of old episodes that you liked? I remember them riding their bikes in the driveway, course it was pretty small when all of them were out there. Eekk. I also remember when Jon and his brother were making those shelves in the garage. One of them had the kids on the top shelf and Kate came out and freaked. How about a few you didn’t like? I remember the one with the girls making cookies I think it was and Aunt Jodi was there to help. Other thoughts go way back to when they were all babies, but I think that was another house completely.

Lets chat about last night’s episode and the old house, or even what you think will happen at the new house. Oh and Jon mentions making a “Man Cave” how many think he deserves one? Why or why not?

I enjoy all the shows…though I’m exhausted watching all they go through!

I wonder why they take so many trips while the kids are so young. There’s many years of family life ahead. Why do everything when the kids are so young?

Like you, I remember the one of Jon putting up the shelves in the garage and the one of them riding their bikes in the driveway. That would be enough to make me a nervous wreck. The driveway was way too small for all the kids. I’m glad they have room to roam now. Oh my goodness, and I remember seeing the laundry room. Eeek! My family of 4 keeps me busy a lot with cleaning and cooking. I can’t imagine having a family of 10.

My friends wife is addicted to this show, especially since she is having triplets now!

ok, has anyone read the Star Magazine? They are trying to say that Jon went down and partied at the college near their new home. But that isn’t it, he played the drinking game with the girls’ volleyball team. Umm, what’s the angle? While I could totally see him doing it because the way she treats him, he seems loyal to Kate. What do you think?

Kate is not who I first thought she was. I am no longer am interested in viewing the show.
I do not see “Christian” values practiced by Kate.

It has given me a new appreciation for the show “18 Kids and Counting.’
Michele Duggar is consistent in the daily practice of her Christian beliefs.

However, we can be grateful knowing both families are in the classroom of Life and are receiving the Lesson’s necessary for their growth.

Regarding why they take so many trips while the kids are little

The reason they take so many of trips is that they are invited to those places and those places pay for them to come in exchange for them “advertising” for the place that they are visiting. For example the episode where Jon and Kate were in Hawaii renewing their wedding vows, I lost count of how many times the name of the hotel was mentioned. It’s a PR thing. Next time they have an episode where they go somewhere big just listen to how many times they mention the place.
