I think this show sucks, who cares about this,kate trying to be a movie star,and a bunch of screaming kids, i doint get it.

I agree totally with you – it would be irresponsible to have two big dog (even if Kate says that they are only ‘outisde’ dogs) without the proper training. She has a trainer that travels with her to Ca whenever she has a book signing. The dogs need proper training for everyone’s sake. Jon, Kate and the children should all participate in the proper training techniques offered by a certified trainer. In Kate’s last episode with the solar panels, she approached the dog hoping to get the dog to do something (I forgot) and, after repeated back and forth with the dog (the dogs do not speak our language) she gave up, and said “Oh, well, I guess she does not want to do that”
Someone has to tell her to get a TRAINER!!!

you are soo right! at first i thought kate was a kind, loving mother, and i thought she talked to jon with r e s p e c t, but i guess not. i feel bad for all of the kids, and the show should be pulled off the air. if you see any of their videos on youtube, or dailymotion, kate talks about how they were really poor, and you can even see on some of their past episodes, that they talk about using coupons, tlc is paying for their house and anything else they have. good luck to the kids, and good luck to jon – abby

I got to say kudos to John. He has been a patient and forgiving husband to his wife. I would not have taken it as long as he has. He has been a good father to the children as well. Kate is reportedly gone alot. Kate talks to John and often her own children like they are subhuman all to often.

I really love the show and hope it continues longer. I feel like they are a Christian couple but Kate is too overbearing with Jon. They need to be a couple that works together and show the world how Christians can be a positive influence on their family. I fear that eventually Jon will get fed up and lash out and there will be marriage problems down the road. The thing that most people don’t realize is that Christians are only humans who also make mistakes but have God to fall back on for forgiveness unlike people who judge them and do not forgive.
