Jon vs. Kate Gosselin

We all saw what we figured we would on the last airing of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 Show this week, that they’d announce a divorce. Now that they’ve announced the

Here’s what Kate told People magazine:
“On a good day, I feel relief,” Kate says, curled up in a chair in her living room. “On a bad day, I feel failure.”
Kate told them this on the day the kids were happily making Father’s Day Cards for Jon and drawing hearts all over them. Kate would not seen at the house on Father’s Day by the press. Here’s what she actually said during the show:
“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children,” Kate Gosselin said. “While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself.”
Now it wouldn’t be fair to print what Kate said and not Jon, here’s his response according to the:
“I was hurt by the statement Kate made last night about the divorce.
I have always done everything I can to protect our family. This weekend, I was home with the kids for four days, just being a dad. No nannies, just the kids and me. In fact, with the exception of Aaden’s visit to the doctor, I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend Father’s Day weekend.”
Does anyone know what his weekend activities were? If she was meaning Father’s Day I thought he was with them? Even the media has pictures of them all together. Maybe it was over Aaden getting hurt, not sure. Either way it looks as if this is about to become the world’s biggest news story.

These people are the quintessential trailer trash. They both put their own want for money and fame ahead of the kids wellbeing. If I were the courts in their county, I would take the children and put them in a protective, nurturing environment, not in one where one parent or the other only cares about scoring publicity points.
I think everyone is blaming Kate for being so strict, but I feel that Jon wanted out of the marriage and responsibility along time ago. If he was serious about taking care of his family, he wouldn’t have been looking for a one bedroom apartment – if the kids want to go with him where is going to put them in his back pocket. The only one crying here is Kate, obviously Jon was ready to move on along time ago. Jon it is not greener on the other side of the fence. This girls that are giving you attention, it is your money they want, if you would not be on TV – would they give you that kind of attention. Get back to the real world!
You could be right, there’s a new article out (I think it’s People but will look) about Kate stating Jon wanted out long ago but somehow she convinced him to stay. Maybe she made him realize the money they’d get and how neither would have to work hard and the kids would be set and they would never have to worry about their kids’ financial futures. Not sure, but I’ll post a new update on that. Either way I do blame both parents but I think his reasoning for wanting out was the way she treated him. Truthfully I don’t think we’ll ever fully know what went on, it’ll always be a he said/she said thing.
Well, finally Jon grew are pair of ba11s! Better late than never! How anyone could live with Kate, who constantly belittled her husband publically, for 10 years I will never know. I used to watch the show, until three years ago, when Kate received her free tummy tuck, and had the greed to ask for a free breast augmentation too, that was when I finally stopped watching the show. Kate is greedy, selfish, shrill, controlling, and just plain mean! How could she not see herself? Does she not watch the show? Jon admits that he “Just let her have her way”. Even their children talk down to Jon. He needs to stop that now, when they are young!
I’ve wondered that very thing. I mean if I were doing a show I’d think I’d watch it and feel awful about the way either I looked or how I acted. Who knows maybe it is just the way she is. Kind of scary. Yeah I could only picture how the girls would act towards him as they get older, hard enough in those teen years but for them to have that much disrespect would really hurt.
As a man I can so relate to Jon. Kate was born with a serious case of the nag gene and is a total control freak on top of it. Now that the divorce choice has been made we should all be saying “don’t care, don’t care, don’t care.” Leave them alone long enough and they might even get back together.
I am much more concerned about the Cap and Trade vote taking place in Washington today than I am about Jon and Kate. I wonder if people realize that their utility bills are going to skyrocket, along with the cost of a lot of things if this bill passes. Of course Jon and Kate won’t have to worry about it because they have bankrolled enough $$ to take care of themselves ……..probably for the rest of their lives.
Look, do we really care? They put their life out there for all to see and get paid. Everyone that is or has been married have problems. I am sick to death of these kids and their lousy problems. They should just go away and solve the problems they, themselves, caused. No regards for the children, just about them. Well, we old timers just don’t give a hoot. Time to grow up for both of them.

Yes I read that too, I can’t picture being so far from my kids…ever. But he definitely has a nice place to live if he does get it. Course he could’ve been up there chatting it up with Trump too.
