Libraries are great places for new mothers and babies to go, hang out and read.
Amazon stores are, maybe, a great way to fund mothering blogs.
Or not.
I’ve been a work from home mother since the baby was born in December. Sure, I’ve had an afternoon or two each week when I’ve had to go somewhere else to work. Next Monday, that period of my life ends. It’s been a great run, but I am not sure working 20 feet (6 meters) from my fridge has always been healthy.
Change happens. I don’t dread it. In fact, I am ready for something different. And, I hope, the baby is too.
Rest assured, nothing will change with this blog. I’ll continue to report on all issues related to post partum recovery and I’ll try to be there for all new mothers. I’ll just have an added dimension to how I experience the world as a working outside the home mother — although I am not sure I am any more comfortable with that label than I was with any of the others. Afterall, my husband is not described as a computer-programming father or an IT-Dad.
The only other problem with venturing out in the world is that I have nothing to wear. This is what Amazon.com thinks mothers should have in their wardrobes. What’s wrong with a nice pair of jogging pants is all I want to know…

Yipes!!! You’re much more likely to find me wearing those fuzzy slippers than the fancy panties. My poor hubby….
The fancy panties look so uncomfortable. I feel like squirming just looking at them.
