Don’t you just love technology? I love it even more when I read stories like this one, “Marine in Iraq watches birth of his Baby.” I know how important it is for the husband/father to watch the birth of their child. My own husband happened to be in Iraq when our third child was born, while he did not get the call until after he did get a digital picture of her moments after birth. This beat not knowing or waiting weeks on end for a picture in the mail.

Nick Sousa, the Marine in Iraq, helped his wife, Ashley, give birth via a teleconference this past Monday. He was able to talk her through each contraction and watch the birth of his little girl.
I think this is great, the company that help provide him with this is called “Freedom Calls” and is a foundation that allows troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan be able to communicate with their family around the globe while they are serving in war.
Hopefully he’ll get to come home soon and put that little baby girl in his arms. Congratulations to the happy couple!
