Momma’s Coffee Break

This week I’ve been dealing with one sick little boy, which you probably saw if you visited my wordless Wednesday. So how do you feel when your little one is sick? I’m sure like all moms/dads/aunts/uncles/etc you feel horrible. That’s how it has been. I just can’t take his aches away and I’m left listening to hearing him cough and just lay down. I want that adventurous boy back, the one that drives me crazy as he climbs on top of his toys and jump off. His fever felt like it broke earlier so we’ll see.
As you may remember this is just a random chat, open for anything. So have at it? Here’s a list of possible ideas: Did you realize today is the Friday the 13th? Got any superstitions? Will you be going to see a movie this weekend? Which one? etc.

Oh, we just went through that. Poor babies. They felt so miserable. The worst was their sore noses.
Today they all have Valentine’s parties at school. Is it just me or is Valentine’s Day a bigger deal than it used to be?
yes and he absolutely HATES sitting still long enough for you to take his temp.
Oh Vday has become so HUGE. I do remember having a small party and the exchange but it gets bigger. Heck I noticed now they assign you to bring certain things. Plus they do those silent auctions expecting donations in the same week. Eeek.
Yes, we had to donate and bring in valentines for the entire group, not just our class. Luckily, I came across some unopened packs of Batman Valentines for 49 cents a box at Goodwill.
yeah at last minute both kids came home with two lists. Our school is small so they thought they’d combine the two classes in each grade. Sorry, not happening, I’d already bought them and I found this out yesterday…too late to run to the store. They kind of need to give a bit more notice. I’ll know for next year though. lol.Good thing you found another box. Love the price.
I hope your little one is feeling better soon:-) My son had strep throat last year at this time and missed his school Valentine’s Day party. He cried and cried because he couldn’t go.
This years party was today, so I went in to play room mother. That’s always so much fun. One of the benefits of having my own schedule:-)
I think when my youngest goes to school I’ll end up being the room mom, etc. I’ve always wanted to be but they don’t allow the younger siblings in so I’ve never been able to do it.
It’s one of the reasons I wanted to have a flexible schedule while my son is young. I really didn’t want to miss any part of him growing up. He’s the only one I’m going to have and he’s growing up fast:-)
