My Belly

I let my post-babies belly out in public today. When I went to Greece in 1995, a time before stretch marks, I bought my first bikini. The sales woman was very, very good at her job.

Today, I wore the same suit to take both the baby and her big brother swimming. I couldn’t find my usual one-piece, but we all needed to play in the water. It is the one activity that always helps me shed stess. To my great surprise, no one recoiled in horror when my belly, followed a second or two later by the rest of my body, and I entered the pool area.

I bet there are a million other scenarios that might be OK. If I just get over the postpartum body blues.
