Natural Birth Control

You might recall my confession about post-pregnancy fear of sex. In particular, I am frightened of getting pregnant again while I have such a little baby. My granny had ten children and ever since my second was born, I think of the chaos of my life and wondered how on earth she managed.

I wanted to point people who commented on the fear post to this Now Magazine article on natural birth control. I don’t know any of these methods in detail and the article doesn’t provide any details. I, also, wholeheartedly disagree with the naturalist position that the pill is “scary.” I am a bit suspicious when alternative medical specialists have their opinions rather than their expertise quoted. And to me, having two kids who are the same age for part of the year is scary. That said, I can barely remember my name some days, let alone remembering to take a pill at the same time every day.
Still, for those of us who need another way to avoid pregnancy, I think the article is a good place to find search terms to learn more. In particlar, I am taking the terms Justisse Method, Ladycomp, mucous monitoring over to my favourite search engines.

  2. [...] I know, it was embarrassing when your mother and father told you about the birds and the bees. It was more than uncomfortable when we had “health studies” days instead of gym class. And, it still makes me uncomfortable now. Still, it needs to be repeated. New mothers and women who are nursing still need to worry about birth control. [...]
