Doug Campbell may only be a student but when he brought his design for an egg-shaped incubator to the Bristol Design Festival he had all the eyes. Now this isn’t developed yet, however if it does it even allows you to lower the egg-shaped incubator to sit right over mom in a chair. This would help a mom that has just had stitches or a c-section and give bonding time a little longer.

A student has designed an egg-shaped incubator which he claims can help nurture the bonding between mothers and their newborn babies.
Doug Campbell hopes his design will allow parents to get closer to their children when they are hooked up to life-saving equipment in hospital.
The incubator can be lowered and balanced above the mother’s lap so she can maintain eye contact with her baby.
I really hope Doug gets his wish and this is brought to life. Many young babies and families could benefit from this.
