Newborn Baby Abandoned in Motel Room

A newborn baby girl, only hours old, was found by a couple just returning to their motel room. The couple said they heard a faint cry next door and the door was left open just a little, they peeked in to see a newborn baby girl laying by herself on the bed.

The little girl is said to have only been a few hours old, the room had been littered in beer cans and not an adult/parent in sight. The umbilical cord was still attached to the newborn and the police are on the hunt for the mom. They believe she is a Holyoke woman, no name has been released though. If you have any information the Motel was the West Springfield Welcome Inn.
UPDATE: The police know the woman that did it and are still searching for her. No name has been released or the condition of the baby.
