i actually have a question about germany during christmas. Right now i am trying to decide where to spend christmas and i am torn between Germany, Budapest, and Prague. As you can see i do not know much about which german city would be the nicest! if someone could pelase help me in telling me which city is the nicest in Germany for celebrating Christmas. It will onyl be my mom and myself. Thanks so much fro your help and advice

Hi Nikoläusin-

I’m not sure if I understand your comment completely, but I just want to make clear that there is nothing in my post that suggests Christmas in Germany is better than it is anywhere else.

It states that Christmas is the best time of year to be here.

I am sure Germany has it’s charms during the rest of the year. They are just rather quiet, difficult to appreciate charms.

Hallo!

You are right about the great xmas spirit in Germany, it’s tremedously beautiful, but you can’t lock yourself to only one kind of xmas, when you don’t know all the cultures and traditions in the world.

I would say “Nobody Does Christmas the same way”, maybe on 2nd thought, nobody does Christmas like Mexiko, in this country not only work hard to make it beautiful, they don’t take it as *work*, it’s one of their biggest pleasures, honors and joys of life, with a huge variety of traditions and beliefs. At the end, they achieve a colorful, unique and warm holidays, while keeping in 1st place, the real meaning of this time, the birth of our Lord Jesus.

Other latin countries follow kinda the same vivid line, then i cannot say which one is the best, because every country in the world, has its own wonderful way to celebrate. Btw i live in Mülheim, NRW.
