When Adopt-a-Chaplain was formed, we understood that some people would be unable to separate the mission’s compassion from its context.   But that’s okay because giving and givers find power in their diversity.  Chaplains are unique in that they carry no weapons other than spiritual and emotional strength.  The care packages we provide them give a context in which they can deploy those weapons.  Rest assured that should Lillie, the author of the piece about Adopt-a-Chaplain, decide to share her five dollars with us, it will be a most purposeful act of kindness.
