A nurse leaving the hospital on her way to a meeting was not ready for what waited her outside those hospital doors. But the quick thinking nurse was able to resuscitate a newborn that had just died and was

still attached to his mother’s umbilical cord. The mom had went into labor early and they didn’t even make it out of the car at the hospital when she began giving birth. The umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
She’d heard the father yelling for help, when she approached the car she spotted the baby. She’d never assisted in a birth before, the only one she’d ever seen was her own. But she still came over, quickly administered CPR and the baby (3 months premature) started moving.
The baby named Xavier Michael, weighing only 2lbs, was in good condition and given oxygen, they believe he’ll do just fine. Congrats to the happy couple.
