Octuplets: A Mother’s Love

It was just a few days ago that I told you about the California mother that gave birth to not one but eight babies. Well, did you know they thought she was only going to have seven? Yep, during all the ultrasounds and everything they only saw/heard seven. They had no clue about the 8th one. So that little baby came to them as a surprise, or a gift as many might say. One more surprise for you, this mom already has six children, four boys and two girls. This now brings her total up to fourteen. WOW 14 kids, catching the Duggar family already!
But the bigger surprise I guess was that she decided not to have fewer children. The doctors were convinced that by taking a few away/abort, the others would thrive. She refused this and went on being pregnant.

Good news, this past Wednesday she was finally able to look at those tiny little babies in their incubators. Now, for obvious reasons (infections, etc) she’s unable to touch or hold them. But I think just seeing them will be enough for her right now.
She does want to continue to be a secret, but I think once she and those babies are out of the hospital the secret will be out. The babies due have to stay in the hospital for a few months, at least two in the incubators but it sounds like their health is improving and every day they get the nourishment and strength they need. One of the boys that was under 2lbs is still on a tube to help him breathe. She does plan on breastfeeding all EIGHT of the babies. Any advice for her?

Only dogs have litters. I see nothing great about having 14 mouths to feed on an Army Contractor’s pay. And not even having a home. Here come the Bridge Cards, WIC and all other donations and publicity money paid to them for pictures and stories of the babies. I hope they grow up living a normal life, although, I do not know how one mother can give the needed attention and love to 14 youngsters at one time. Tsk, Tsk. I prefer having had my three children one at a time and giving them the prime time attention, bonding and love they each deserved.
Capricorn, I think your comment is disgusting. No one intends to have a “litter” of children. The likely hood that all eight of these children will survive is small. That none will have some form of brain damage even smaller. We should be wishing the best for them not leaving hateful garbage.
It’s obvious to anyone who has reads this story that this woman is mentally ill and Mental Patients Must Not Be Allowed to Have Kids.
shes nuts. ill pray for her parents and her children. i hope she gets help cause she needs it. to have children when u cant afford to take are of the ones you have is irresponsible. i hope someone teaches her how to be a mother and take care of her children. she needs to grow up and stop reproducing because she needs to raise those precious babies and get a job. if she really love babies work in a daycare or nursey and stop reproduing because it is not the worlds job to pay for her and her kids. many families would like to have more children but dont because they cant afford it. she is a disgrace to women.
