Out for the Count

Dayquil/Nyquil-Vicks Cold/Flu Relief Medication, 60 Liquid Gels

Everyone is still sick. My four year-old’s eyes look like giant saucers in his skinny little head. I got three bites of chicken, one slice of cucumber, half an apple, some juice and about 4 oven chips into him for lunch before he demanded a nap.

Baby girl either has a mild version of this flu, or she’s just teething some more. She has had two new teeth break through and at least one more is still bothering her.

I came down with the chills and sinus pain unlike any I have ever experienced before. My own mummy went out to buy me some Nyquil on Sunday and it worked for about 4 hours before the virus woke me up again. I am just dragging through the day right now.

Grace, at Flu Patrol, has some great advice for When Mommy Gets Sick. I hope I’ll be well enough to read it tomorrow.

I can realte! My kids didn’t have the flu but had a stomach virus instead. Last week was spent dealing with vomit and poop. :( At least I wasn’t sick like you! I hope you guys feel better soon.

  1. [...] The family flu has put everyone on edge. I had to make the baby CIO a few times over the past few days just because I didn’t have the strength to go to her. Since we co-sleep, that should tell you how bad it’s been. Even my bachelor brother, who usually writes about his dog, has had an introduction to the tough side of parenting. [...]

  2. [...] I think my sinuses are infected as a result of the flu. It’s been over ten days and it feels like someone is sticking a knitting needle into my face. [...]

  3. [...] (who really does speaks Spanish!) at Playlibrary were also featured, but I was so involved with having the flu, that I didn’t even notice.   Technorati Tags: blog jolting, speed [...]
