Potty Talk

I’ve got an update on the potty chair I told ya about last week. Yes, we got it and it actually came two days ago. To be honest I didn’t think the chair would work, especially after watching him that first day.
Day 1: Get the potty chair out of the box and assemble it. Introduce it to Little A and wait to see what he does with it.
What does he think: I think he believes it is either 1. a toy box or 2. a pool
1. because he is constantly opening it and tossing something in the bowl. Later he’ll go back, take out the item and replace it with something else. We found the car keys in the toilet. Now we are waiting to see when our keys end up in the real toilet. Eeek!
2. because instead of sitting on it he’s trying to get in it. Feet first and then he stands in the center of it. I’ve caught him numerous times doing and since the first one caught me off guard he wants me to freak out again I think.
The good news:
Day 2: Oh ya’ll are just going to LOVE this. He used it! For the real thing too. He took off his diaper like normal and stood right in front of it. (like a guy would) and pee’d all over it. Some got in the toilet but most right in front. But he did it! I never thought he’d do it in the first week. Woo hoo!
He went back a second time but missed the toilet completely but still tried his best. So looks like he may learn faster than any of the others did. One problem, he loves taking off the diaper and doesn’t like to wear it. When I go to put it on he cries and takes it right back off and books it to his potty. (as if to say look mom I’m here don’t put it on me)
That’s our progress so far. Got any stories for me?
