Ready to Go?

I’m one of those families that decide to leave at a moments notice, no I’m not meaning moving but to go out to eat, shop or just go explore. But I’m also the mom to four kids and want to play a game with ya’ll. What is it you have in case you want to head out for a few hours?

At the bottom of my stairs and by the front door is everyone’s jackets, shoes and gloves (just in case). There is a stroller and umbrella there too but it is too cold to go for walks at the moment. Everything is actually piled on top of the stroller, yes I need one of those hangers to keep everything together but that’s another post.

On feet, at all times are socks as I’m one that believes if you have your socks off you’ll catch cold. Not to mention if you don’t have them on it means finding the ones you had on or searching through drawers to find a matching pair. I can even put them in their dressers that day and by the end of the day they’ve disappeared. (I think I need SuperNanny or FlyLady)

Basically this means everyone is ready, except for my 11 month old. I will normally decide whether or not his outfit is good for the weather. If not I quickly change him, if he is I just grab an outfit out of the bin (right inside my room) and toss it in the “To Go Bag.”

In the “To Go Bag”:
diapers
wipes
Cream (but so far we haven’t used it yet)
powder
toys (this might include the latest things he’s loving on lately, a megablock, remote control, stuffed animal, rattle or even a wash cloth)
fuzzy animal board book (he loves this book)

Once the “To Go Bag” is packed that’s it, we are ready to go. Oh and before ya ask, each child as nominated themselves to bring one book or coloring book each. This helps as I never have to remember. So what is it you have to get before heading out?
