6 Week Recovery Check

Six weeks after you give birth is time to have an appointment with your gynecologist or mid-wife to ensure you are healing properly. It’s also important for you to check in with yourself and take stock of how you feel.
Take a look at the Long List of Discomforts (where we deal with everything from abdominal amnesia to weight gain) and think about any lingering problems there may be.
How much do you have to do to address them and which do you think will take care of themselves?
And remember, even though your baby is still very new, you still have to take steps to protect your fertility by using birth control and making follow-up appointments with your gynecologist.
