Showing Off those 1st Words

Have you noticed your baby is speaking more to you? Or just using his/her words more now with confidence? My son is just about 18 months old and while he’s been blabbering for a while he’s showing more and more that he can talk and he does it all with pride.
As I sat on the couch today Little A decided he wanted up on the couch. He got ready to climb up, looked at me and with a knowing grin he placed his leg up and said:
“Uut, Uut,” in our household this is clearly UP. I placed my hand under his foot and he boosted his body onto the couch and grabbed a book and happily sat right beside me pretending to read. Or who knows, maybe he was reading.
A few other words he says with confidence are:
Bus with a long U, when he sees a yellow bus.
Meow- when he sees a cat nearby or in a picture.
Bubby- his brother
OWT- pronounced with a “w” sound which means out.
book
vvroom- which is a car
Bar-Bar- this is the favorite purple dinosaur, BARNEY.
What are some words your baby says with confidence? How do you encourage your child to use more words? (I’ll be writing a piece on this during the week, can’t wait for your responses here)

Oh, he sounds so darn cute.
Oh I’m just loving every minute of it right now, they grow up so darn quickly.
My sons clearest first words besides the never ending “no” were “arrow” for truck, still not sure why and “nud” for cushion/pillow. My son is 5 now and knows the correct words for cushion & pillow but special cushions like his bedtime cuddle pillow or my homemade snuggle cushion are still called nuds.
