I should explain the mood of my last post.
While my mother lives far away and mother-in-law is gone, I am not completely without female help or influence. Two friends, one the same age as my mother and the other about my grandmother’s age just left for France after four days with us. It was blissful to have their energy and wisdom here. Experiences like this make me envy mothers who have grandmothers around to help all the time.
Especially my sister who has both our mother near and “a perfect mother-in-law” (yes, Lucy, I have heard Sarah say that many times).
