Suri Cruise’s Temper Tantrum in NY

Suri Cruise is a typical 2-year-old that up until now everyone has followed around stating how cute she is. One thing, no one has ever really heard this little girl, that is until yesterday when TMZ posted a video of Katie Holmes putting her back in the van after visiting her favorite restaurant, “Alice’s Tea Cup.” Suri is placed in the van and suddenly you hear her screaming…ya know those high pitched cries that our children sometimes do when either they don’t want to do something, get hurt or don’t get their way. This tells me one thing….Suri is a typical child.
I’m sure this had to be a bit embarrassing for Katie Holmes as she knows the entire world watches, but hopefully she knows it just puts her there with the rest of us. So, lets talk about those times when your children did something to make your face red in public.
- I remember my daughter (BalletGirl) chunking chicken strips out the car window. She didn’t want to kill the birds. (she was 3)
- Screaming match with Little A as he did NOT want to stay seated in one of those carts in Walmart. Talk about red faced, here he was standing up, turning red from screaming and me trying to keep him in it.
- BabyGirl, she’s such a sensitive soul, if you correct her tears will fall. Course I remember something spilling (an accident) in a restaurant and when the staff came over she felt so bad she began bawling. We couldn’t get her to stop so had to take her to the bathroom and tell her they weren’t upset. “But mommy they had to clean it and they were busy. I wanted to do it.”
Or the time I was feeding her and didn’t realize my shirt was still up when I went to check the mail. Oops.
- I won’t embarrass SoccerBoy, he says his friends might read it.
Do you have some stories to tell?

Simple temper tantrums I could handle but when my daughter and I took her 2 year old shopping it was terrible. He wanted a toy and she said “no.” He tried to lie down and scream so she just picked him up. He started kicking her as hard as he could. I was ready to take him to the car and inflict some corporal punishment. I’m glad I don’t have to go through that any more.
Cute story
My 16 month olds are learning how to throw fits. Joy of all joys.
I’m sure I’ll have lotsov stories to tell. He’s pretty good for now but he’s not yet two. If he starts carrying on in walmart he’s still small enough that I can hold him…let him walk around – that makes him happy – with his monkey leash while my husband shops.
He’s a bit clingy still and that’s kind of embarrassing. My mil good naturadely makes fun when he turns it on and off like a faucet when he’s overtired and I try to pass him to someone else when he wants to be held by me. He’s fine – I pass him to a sister in law and he cries, she passes him right back and he’s fine! I want to live closer so this no longer happens.
