No More Excuses

The nice thing about having a “pro-blog” is that I can use my professional obligations as an excuse to get away from enable my family to develop their independence. On Saturday night, to cap off a difficult day, I finally had a break-through.
“I need a break,” I told my husband. “I’m going to the Internet Cafe.”
No more excuses. Just a need expressed.
But Wait! Everything is Fine.

There is so much discussion about parenting and motherhood on the Internet, in magazines and on television. In every discussion, there are two groups battling it out, both claiming that they are right and that this parenting topic will define the adult your child becomes.
I would like to interrupt all of these discussions to give one message to new mothers:
Whatever it is you’re doing, as long as you feel good and your baby is happy, everything is just fine.
Really.
