I wanted to make sure that if you had something that the news got out to you, so here’s the list: The first recall is for a booster seat by Circo which has 43000 out in the public. This is a little blue booster seat with yellow straps, the straps (buckle) can open unexpectedly allowing the child to slip out.   This recall asks that you return the seat  to where you purchased it from for a full refund.  Unfortuneatly 8 reports were made, three of which resulted in injured babies. Model #s: XJ0811, XJ0812, XJ0901, and XJ0902

Safety 1st SmartLight Stair Gates has 31,500 of these out that they are trying to warn people about. This is just a voluntary recall though, but if you recall back in Feb they recalled 100,000 of them. Why the recall? The hinges can break causing it to fall over and a baby to go with it, but thankfully this has not happened to anyone. Model #42111

The third recall is for the Jump ‘n Jive Doorway Jumpers by Graco, this one is being recalled because of the detachable toy.  This is one of those doorway jumpers that has a play mat below for the baby to bounce on. The strips have toys attached for the baby to play and bat at.  There is another blue strip that has velcro on it to hold the toy connected to the jumper, but it does come off posing a choking hazard. Hazard: The wooden crib slats can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers.

The recall is due to the blue metallic fabric detaching, this of course poses a choking hazard for your infant. Currently there have been no serious issues reported. I’m not sure how many of you have bought these but they are little pacifiers that are flashing. These may look cute or help you find the baby in the dark (that is just a joke) but they are being recalled. These were NOT meant for babies. Apparently the pacifier can fall apart which poses as a choking hazard.

Hazard: The flashing pacifiers do not comply with federal safety standards for pacifiers. Although the pacifiers are marketed to older children and adults, they could be given to babies and cause serious injury or death. The pieces of the pacifier can separate, posing a choking hazard. The necklaces pose a strangulation hazard.

If you do have these, which were bought in Nov 07-Nov 08, you can get more info from Top Goods Trading just call 213 680 0388. So far, there has been no injuries.

Heart and Car Sterling Silver Teethers  these are baby rattles that are made of sterling silver. 200 have been bought, but the heart and cars in the center of the rattle have been known to break off.  Due to a choking hazard they are being recalled.

 Ellaroo Baby Slings has had a recall, these were sold between 2007-Feb 2008 for about $100. If you bought one of these comfortable slings you may want to call the number listed below to get a replacement. Currently no babies have been injured but there have been four reports of the ring bending or breaking off. I don’t want to see someone’s baby falling to the ground because of a weak ring, if you bought one get the replacement.
