The delivery only took seven whole minutes, she said she was able to assist due to having two children of her own. Thank goodness this woman was nearby right? The baby girl came right out too, no complications and she caught the baby.

The mom and baby are doing just fine, however it seems they want a bit of privacy since the entire birth was broadcasted when someone taped the whole thing on their cell phone. I can’t say that I blame them, I think I’d go into hiding too. But it’ll definitely be something this conductor will never forget. Congrats to the new mom.

Here’s the story:

Shatiesha Brown gave birth to Anaya Victoria only four hours before another mother with the first initial S and last name Brown gave birth. Shatiesha had high blood pressure and just to make sure it went down they kept the newborn from her mother for the first 24 hours. Only problem, the newborn wasn’t alone or in the little nursery, instead she lay in the arms of another mother. A mother who was falling in love with her, breastfeeding her and taking tons of family photos with her. What’s wrong with that? It wasn’t her baby. Of course neither mother would know, at least not until after everything happened.

I’m not sure how they realized it, but when they discovered the mix-up they quickly fixed it. By the way, it was figured out after Anaya was 18 hours old. Some state it is because the two families were pointing out their newest family member and an argument broke out. But it was too late, when Shatiesha tried breastfeeding her baby, she rejected her mother’s milk. Why? She’d already been nursing and this was not the same. She now has to feed her baby formula and yes the family will be pressing this issue and sue the hospital.

How did this happen? No one knows, Anaya even had bracelets on to prevent a mix up.

Here’s a link to the video of the Baby Mix Up news release of it on ABC.

The mother, Bhuri, of the little girl passed out immediately after giving birth. On these types of trains the toilets have a hole that goes straight to the tracks, so once the baby was born in the toilet it fell out onto the tracks. It was about an 1 1/2 hours before searchers found the baby. No one knew immediately what had happened until they’d got to the next stop and knocked on the door to find Bhuri passed out and searches began from there.

The little girl is alive and weighed 3lbs 4oz. She’s definitely a little miracle, I’m so happy to hear she survived. Kirsten from Lively Women is also writing about this, stop by to see what she has to say.

Feel free to vote for your response or add a new one. Don’t forget to come back and chat about it here. I for one have had many different experiences in this subject. After reading some of the recent comments I’ve noticed that one subject is very hot in the babyworld and that is sex. In particular the big question seems to be “When did you have sex after the baby was born?”

Feel free to vote for your response or add a new one. Don’t forget to come back and chat about it here. I for one have had many different experiences in this subject. My first child I made sure to follow orders and waited the 6 weeks like the doctor told me…actually it was probably 7 as I was scared. Second child, just waited the 6 weeks. Third child I went at my husband the first night I saw him, remember he had been in Iraq when our little girl was born. But with our 4th child, it seems I’m more scared now. I’m not afraid of sex but fear of getting pregnant. (more on that later)

What’s your thoughts? How long did you wait?
