The idea is simple. I set a theme. All of you then write a post on the theme for your own blogs. Link back to this post in yours with a short description of the writing project. Finally, in case I don’t get the trackback, leave the URL to your post in the comments section below.

Every morning, I’ll post all of the entries from the previous day.

The contest is open now and closes at 11:59 PM on Thursday, 14 June, 2007.

The final entries will be posted on Friday, 15 June, 2007. On Saturday the 16th, I’ll announce the results of a random draw of all eligible posts to receive the winning blogger’s choice of a $24.95 gift voucher from Amazon or $24.95 in virtual cash via PayPal (it has to be under $25 US to avoid potential tax penalties for the winner).

Posts that aren’t on the theme or aren’t suitable for family reading will be disqualified at my dictatorial discretion.

Now for the theme:

Tell us all about a parenting mistake you’ve made, what you’ve learned from it and how you’re trying to make sure it will never happen again. Here’s mine.

Obviously, if you are the kind of parent to be featured on Parents Behaving Badly, we don’t want to hear from you. Not at all.

Instead, we want to hear from people recognize that, while there is no such thing as a perfect parent, trying to do better is good for the whole population.
