]]> I am sitting at my desk with a slightly damp shirt again. I’ll go get changed in a minute, but the conditions are exactly right to point you toward Cotton-Picking Days, the personal blog of geneticist and B5 Blogger Hsien-Hsien Lei.  Hsien’s latest entry concerns the launch of Breastfeeding Medicine Journal, a refereed scientific journal about lactation and all related subjects.

The breastfeeding and bottlefeeding communities have become more divisive, defensive and militant in recent years. According to stories I have heard from other mothers, this often leaves doctors and patients, who have different information from different sources, facing each other down over their children’s health and nutrition. I welcome the launch of this journal in the hopes that everyone concerned with children’s and mothers’ health will be able to bring perspective and reasonable debate to the infantfeeding communities.
