Celebrity Baby Car Seats

This week we talked all about car seat safety to how to pick a car seat, I thought it would be neat to look at what some celebrities buy for their babies. So take a peek at the list below and come back next week for… breastfeeding, weaning, etc.
Elizabeth Hasslebeck’s son, Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck, uses Maxi-Cosi Mico whenever they go out for a drive. Believe it or not, Taylor was one of the first children in the United States to ride in one of these.
Salma Hayek received a Graco Snug Ride car seat at her baby shower, she gave birth to a little girl named, Valentina Paloma, in 2007. Matt Damon always makes sure his precious Isabella is in a car seat, I’m not sure what he always uses but as an infant they used the Graco Snugride in Family Tree.
Britney Spears purchased a Britax car seat after getting nailed with putting her baby in her lap while driving. This is NOT something mothers should do, always place your baby in the proper car seat for their age/size. There’s currently a big sale on Britax Marathon right now.

Thank God that’s over!
Today concludes my week as a celebrity blogger.

Sure, it’s old news, but does that matter when you’re being catty.
Last week, In Touch reported that Britney Spear’s really, really misses her boys who went to live with their dad while she was in re-hab. I can’t believe anyone gave K-Fed the kids! And what about the emotional damage he’s inflicting on his children with Shar Jackson who don’t live with him? I find it really, really disgusting that K-Fed can treat his children by a rich white mother so differently than his children by a single black woman in such a public way.
At the very least, I hope K-Fed will read the advice from Helen, an expert parent who treats all five of her children with equal love and attention.

Writing a childbirth recovery blog is often a thankless task. It takes a long time to research and write the posts, perform community-building tasks and do promotion. And then, celebrity blogs get all the traffic.
Plus, I’ve often wondered what it would be like to write about Paris Hilton instead of hemorroids, the Jolie-Pitts instead of painful periniums, K-Fed instead of feminine protection.
So, this week, I am going to try celebrity blogging! Beware of my super sarcasm and snotty comments about people I couldn’t care less about.
At the very least, I will be able to give my brain a rest and it will up the page views for the Mothering Sunday to Mothers’ Day Campaign.
No More Gratuitous Celebrity Mother Mentions

Motherhood, especially the postpartum period, is not glamourous. I’ve been known to mention it when celebrities like Angelina Jolie or Britney Spears give birth, to increase the style quotient of this blog. By the way girls, I hope you’re both recovering from those c-sections and that the scar doesn’t show.
But, to tell you the truth, I also do it to bring more traffic to the site. And, with any luck, the information those visitors get will eventually help a new mother who deserves some comfort.
My strategy, though, has been deeply flawed. Jolie, Spears, even the Gilmore Girls, are just not big enough blips on the pop culture radar. They really just don’t have enough fans. No, my friends at Play Library, have proven that to really bring people who read to your blog, you need a really big star. Someone like…. Read more
