Back in November Casey’s lawyers tried shifting the blame on Roy Kronk, the utility man that discovered little Caylee’s body last December. They were claiming he knew the body was there since at least August as there are records of him calling 9-1-1 to report the suspicious bag.  Course this could just show that not everyone was taking calls seriously and he wanted them to check it out.

This past week many decisions were handed down from the judge:

- Casey Anthony allowed to face death penalty

-  Casey’s parents haven’t visited her in over one year, according to what they told NBC, the reason was they were advised not to visit because everything that is done or said gets leaked to the media.

-    double jeopardy for fraud has been denied and the new court date is Jan. 25, 2010.

-  jailhouse tapes, videos, interviews will NOT be destroyed

What do you think? Did she do it and should she get the dealth penalty? Ya’ll already know my opinion.

about time that’s one thing I know. Casey is being charged with first -degree murder of her precious daughter, Caylee Anthony.

Last year she reported her daughter missing, it would take almost six months for anyone to find her little body inside a bag and tossed in a pond. Casey has always stated she didn’t do it and begged America and the rest of the world to find her little girl. Casey’s parents, Caylee’s grandparents searched and continued to set up search sights for their granddaughter and have stuck by their daughter throughout the entire process.

Before the deposition they had just announced that they had 1000 new documents to add to the case.  (this will make for 8000 pages of documents in total)  Documents, which included interviews (both old and new), witness statements, polygraph tests, statements that George and Cindy never took a lie detector etc.  Today was the last of the depositions so we should soon get this thing on trial and hopefully let the world know what happened or at least sentence the one that needs it.  Course with Lee “spilling the beans” I’m guessing that will probably hurt Casey more than it will help her.  There were questions about what type of mom Casey really was, what happened between June and July, etc.  It is believed the parents of Casey will take the stand, no clue what they are going to state.

This morning on the “Today Show,” George’s lawyer (Casey’s father is George) stated that the grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, have been truthful the entire time.  I’m hoping by this he meant they honestly had no clue where their grandbaby was and had no clue who really murdered her. Orlando Sentinel quoted him to saying:

“They’ve cooperated from the beginning,” Conway said. “They told the truth from the beginning. They’ll continue to tell the truth. And their love for their daughter is not going to interfere with that.”

 With a new motion to protective order going through will anyone be able to state what Casey may have told them? Hopefully this isn’t really covered and everyone will be able to state whatever it is Casey actually told them. I’m guessing she told them something bigger than the one we’ve already heard. Hopefully we’ll hear more on this in the next few days.

The autopsy report has been released and so far they couldn’t figure out what killed her.  Here is a newscast on it, explaining what it really meant. The report states no sign of head trauma or any type of trauma on the actual skeleton and no traces of drugs were in her system. However it also states that the trunk of her mother’s car did have large amount of chemicals. They believe this is the type of chemical that happens when someone is deprived of oxygen.

The only problem….her daughter was dead and not by some stranger.  Her daughter had been missing already a month before she called.   This mother would take America and the rest of the world on a hunt for her daughter, while the entire time she was only a few streets away from her grandparents house. She did it! However, even with all the findings she still waits trial. Here’s a few updates on the case since January. Casey of course still claims she is innocent and never killed her daughter. But would she really confess with the death penalty hovering over her. No way.  For those that don’t remember, little Caylee’s body was found in a bag inside a swampy area only a few blocks from grandma and grandpa’s house. Her mouth was covered with duct tape.  To this date there is still no statement on how the little girl died or if she was alive before being shoved in the bag. Here’s the Grandma’s 911 call from CNN:

“I need to find her,” Cindy Anthony continued. “I told you my daughter was missing for a month. I just found her today, but I can’t find my granddaughter. She just admitted to me that she’s been trying to find her herself. There’s something wrong. I found my daughter’s car today, and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.”

Casey Anthony is also being charged in the check fraud case, however at the moment her lawyers are trying to delay that hearing due to the murder case still being on the table. But new rumors are now surfacing that she paid that debt for the check fraud.  The Examiner is stating:

Two of Casey’s attorneys, Jose Baez and Dr. Andrea Lyon argue the defense cannot afford to waste time on a fraud case with the death penalty hanging over their client’s head. They also argue there will be no harm in delaying the fraud case because Amy has already been compensated for her losses by her bank and Baez’s firm has reimbursed the bank with what is reported to be more than $600.

Baez has also put a motion out to silence any statements by Leonard and his team as far as evidence. My guess is she told them something and it could be very damaging. I certainly hope the judge doesn’t agree to this and allows Padilla a voice. It also seems that they have been able to make the video of her in jail on the day she found out her daughter had been found not available for court viewing. I remember this and some say she barely reacted and only got mad and wanted to talk with her mom. I believe she knew all along and when she heard it was the bag she knew she was done for. I want to know one thing though, did they ever make her see her daughter’s remains? If so did she react at all? Something tells me even if she did she wouldn’t have responded. The biggest news seems to be that the murder trial has yet again been postponed and this time until January 2010. Could it be because they are trying to find a fair jury that has yet to know about the case? Or is her team trying to come up with more strategies? All I know is this seems to be taking forever, I’m guessing it didn’t take this long to torture and murder poor Caylee Anthony.  What do you think should happen to her?

They are actually at the courthouse today so there should be even more news later on. But for now here’s the latest and if you know of more please leave a comment letting others know.

-  Judge Stan Strickland is the one proceeding over the case and has just refused to meet with Casey’s defense team in private. They wanted to meet with the judge about their strategy for her, they wanted it to be kept a secret. Not to worry though, that didn’t fly. Why didn’t it fly though? Ummm, Jose Baez, Casey’s attorney actually filed the request in the wrong case file. ooops. The judge feels either way there is no basis for this and did not grant it anyways.

-  Casey’s Friend questioned by Jose Baez- Casey’s longtime pal, Kiomarie Cruz was questioned by her attorney about selling her story to the highest bidder. You may recall she sold it to the National Enquirer a while ago. She was scheduled to meet this week. I can’t see how interviewing Kiomarie would ever help Casey’s case now. This is the pal that stated when they were younger they’d go to the woods to bury their dead animals and this was the place they found Caylee Anthony’s body. Maybe they are trying to see if they will be able to make her a non-credible witness. Who knows. If she does do the stand, which of course she will, it’ll only hurt Casey. (works for me)  Course it seems her lawyer (Casey’s) is trying to state that Kiomarie’s story is bogus. I tend to lean more toward Kio since her story seemed to be very accurate and even found a body. He is claiming Casey never wanted to GIVE UP her child and even if she did the grandparents would’ve taken little Caylee. I guess this would make one ask, “Okay so why didn’t they? Why was she murdered by her mother?”

-  A ton of other key players in the case will be interviewed throughout the week by Jose Baez. Some of those players are jail officers, the investigators and a few others.

-  It seems no one is allowed to visit Casey Anthony at the moment. There were rumors that there was going to be a funeral with just the family so they could mourn Caylee together, but that’s just a rumor according to the corrections department.

“The Orange County Corrections Department has received no requests and has no plans related to any ‘in-person family visit’ with Casey Marie Anthony. Our agency has no intention of providing any special treatment for inmate Anthony or any inmate in our custody.”

-  RUMOR: Casey Anthony on twitter. This was not true, according to the jail they are NOT allowed to use cell phones, internet, etc. This is kind of funny seeing that someone thought she was on the net reading all the stuff about herself.

“1. Inmates are not allowed access to the Internet or cellular phones.

“2. Attorneys cannot bring mobile phones into the jail.

“3. While an attorney is allowed to bring a laptop into the jail with an air card, inmate clients are not allowed to use it or touch it.”

-  Lee Anthony did get a paternity test, so guess I wasn’t the only one curious. The test proved he is NOT the father of Casey, his sister’s, baby.

-  Around the 18th the State announced the subpoena list that will be used in the Casey Anthony trial. Some of those names are: Cindy & George Anthony (her parents), Lee Anthony (her brother), Tony Lazarro (ex-boyfriend), Zenaid Fernandez Gonzalez (is there actually a babysitter), Shirley Plesea (her grandmother), Kiomarie Cruz (her BFF), Brian Burner (neighbor), Employees that worked at Mount Dora nursing home and many others.

-  Lot for sale where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found. I don’t blame the people I wouldn’t want it either after someone finding this precious little girl on it. The bounty hunter, Leonard Padilla is rumored to want to purchase the land. He has offered $50,000 for the land.

Granted the 1 page document states she could, if she felt like it, write a letter waiving her right to appear. But it could create bigger issues in the future. Which something tells me this is what she’ll want, in fear of all those others that hate her.

First, it appeared that George Anthony went missing. Before he went missing he left a 5 page suicide letter stating he wish he could be where Caylee was. He is so heartbroken it is sad. He went missing on around 10:30 a.m. Thursday and his wife reported it, police were able to find him at 2:30 a.m.

Where was he? He was at the Hawaiian Inn Hotel down in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was despondent and possibly under the influence of alcohol and medication, when police got him out he was immediately taken to the hospital where they kept him for a 72 hour psychiatric evaluation. For those that may not know (yes I know surprising) George’s granddaughter, Caylee went missing earlier last year and was found dead in a pond only blocks from his home at the end of the year. His daughter, Casey, has been accused of the murder. I’m sure this is a very trying time for him and you can see he just loved his little granddaughter.

There is a 911 call that you can hear over at ABC. Apparently he even sent text messages to his family telling them he didn’t want to live anymore. You can’t blame him for being so distraught, as each day closes more evidence comes out and something more horrible is heard. This man did not want this for his little grandbaby. As yet her body has never been buried.

Attorney Thomas Luka said that the State Attorney’s Office could seek to charge Lee with obstruction of justice or aiding and abetting, even if was not Lee’s intention to do so. 

Now it does state that “even if was not Lee’s intention to do so.” So what does that mean? Do they think Caylee’s body was hidden on his property at one time or vehicle? Or did he help Casey out in some way.

As for myself, I’d like to believe that someone in this family had some type of morals when it came to Caylee. I’m hoping it was Lee that found out about the body and that they had been hiding it, he waited for the coast to be clear (his parents in California) and took the body and placed it where it could be found. I could be wrong but that’s just my thinking.  Any thoughts?

“They have done absolutely nothing wrong. The Anthony’s cooperated fully from the beginning. In fact, they gave evidence before any warrants were ever issued or signed by a judge,” Conway said on CBS’ The Early Show.

On the Early Show Conway announced that the grandparents cooperated and even gave evidence before they were asked. So my question is, what evidence? If they gave it up before the body was found did everyone already know?

Casey’s own parents have yet to see her since the appearance of little Caylee’s body. Some would think this is because they are angry with her, but reports state it is all due to privacy issues. They know everything they say or she says right now would be recorded.

Examiners have yet to be able to say what happened to little Caylee, the only person that knows is the one that MURDERED this precious little girl.

I don’t know how I feel towards this, part of me is so happy that this little girl will get her proper send off but another part asks why them. I certainly hope they never knew this entire time.

Either way it was announced Tuesday that Caylee Anthony’s Grandparents, George and Cindy would be planning the memorial for her. One thing is for certain where ever they have it they’ll need a large area so that everyone that wants to pay their respects can.

The department has also announced that Casey Anthony, mother of Caylee Anthony, will not be attending the funeral. Due to the charges pending and safety/security issues. I think they know someone would want to strike out against her after what everyone heard of this little girl’s death. The date of the memorial hasn’t been determined yet, I’ll let ya’ll know when it is announced.

“It is with regret that I’m here to inform you that the skeletal remains found on December 1 are those of the missing toddler,” Orange County Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said.

The examiner says Caylee’s death has been ruled a homicide but she could not determine how. No one has reported how the grandparents, Cindy & George Anthony are doing or if they’ve stated anything. So sorry folks, it seems Caylee Anthony really is dead, but finally this little girl can be buried.
