Yesterday I posted a story during the blog-off about 17 teen girls that made a pregnancy pact to get pregnant this school year.

Currently the police are trying to find out who the 17 fathers are and determine if any will be charged. While the world may be in shock I can only imagine the parents of these teens and the possible boys that had no clue.

To me, pregnancy is something that you are suppose to enjoy. It’s a gift and something that should be treasured. But for these 17 girls that just “wanted to raise a baby together” have changed that. Not only that I can’t help but wonder if these 17 boys knew they were planning this.

Imagine the boys being told that the girl was on birth control pills or the shot. Or maybe used a condom but she poked holes in it, etc. If these girls were this determined I wonder if they tried having sex with others to get pregnant and if that is the case how will they be able to prove who the father is.

Right now there are many pointing to the 24-year-old homeless man that got one of the girls pregnant. I am all against rape, but this really doesn’t sound like it.

I really do hope this is fair and not a witch hunt for the boys. Remember people it was a pact these girls made, they fully intended to get pregnant. What’s your thoughts?

Ya’ll know I like posting about the news and I’ve been dismissing this one all morning but I can’t any longer and while it doesn’t deal with babies or moms it does deal with it. What’s that mean? Well it deals with getting pregnant, so everything else comes after.
Okay in the news apparently a huge group of teens decided to make a pregnancy pact. Can you believe this?

What’s that mean? Well it deals with getting pregnant, so everything else comes after.

Okay in the news apparently a huge group of teens decided to make a pregnancy pact. Can you believe this?

There are 17 pregnant girls that go to Gloucester High School that all took a pregnancy pact with one another. When a local high school clinic realized the trend they began looking into it, especially when some seemed down about not being pregnant. This is where the story got interesting and the news picked it up.

The town is torn by what is really going on, some believe the girls made a pact. Others, like Mayor Carolyn Kirk, believes it just happened because the town’s been declining and their are no health classes.

What will happen to these 17 girls that are pregnant? Do they all have support? A future? You also have to look at who is the father? Does he want to be a part of his baby’s life? If he’s older will he be charged? There are many questions I’m sure the town will try to figure out in the next few months. Are these teens following recent movies and movie stars like, Juno or Jamie Lynn Spears?
