Many breastfeeding moms have no clue when they are ill, with a breast infection, sometimes they’ll even mistake it as something else.  Here are a few signs that you may have mastitis.
 -  Your breastfeed and become ill.
-  Your breasts get swelled, or extremely engorged and hot.
-  extreme pain while feeding or a burning feeling every time he/she eats.
-  a fever, normally over 101
-  red patches on your breast
-  for a really bad infection your milk may be yellow, like puss.

With only weeks before my husband was due to deploy we traveled across country to find a house for our eleven month old and myself. I was a new mom, not sure of everything in the mommy land but I was loving life and even life on the road. Just when I thought I would be able to put this post partum recovery behind me and enjoy showing off my beautiful children, the fact that I have recently given birth came up and bit me.
