No Wonder I Feel Drained

On Monday, I mentioned that I’d been neglecting my post partum weight loss. I haven’t been getting enough exercise and I haven’t been watching what I eat. Treats. Pudding, cookies, and German chocolate are always around the house and, what do you know, so am I. Working from home has many disadvantages and one of them is being so near the refridgerator.

My Recovery Diet Includes Blueberries

The cornerstone of my “lose the baby weight challenge” is to try and eat between 5 and 10 servings of fruit and vegetables a day (my most successful dieting adventures have always revolved around getting enough fibre). Blueberries, it now seems, may have more health benefits than the apples and oranges I have every day.
According to an article in Friday’s Toronto Star, “blueberries get their pretty colour from antioxidants called anthocyanins. Antioxidants defend the body against cell damage, and help ward off heart disease, dementia and cancer.”
