In the tradition of my kegels coach and stability ball posts, I continue my efforts to help you improve your postpartum health while expending a minimum of energy.
So, as long as you’re sitting there….
Why not stick your legs out in front of you, hold them straight by tightening your abs and point your toes. Hold them for three seconds. One. Two Three.
OK. Now turn your toes up toward you and flex for three. One. Two. Three.
Feel the burn and…relax.

I got some real exercise last night for the first time since the baby was born.
Sure, I’d been jogging once before. Sure, I’d done my own version of postpartum pilates (thanks for coining that for me, Jill) on the floor. Sure, I’ve been walking with the baby every day.
Last night, though, I was so desperate to move, so desperate to get out of the house ALONE, that I pushed myself and walked/jogged for a full hour. I built up some speed, burned off some frustrations, and felt, well, free.
