I want to know which of you have used a reward system for your toddler and it was a success. I know many trial it and fail but I want to hear about the ones that actually worked. For me it only
worked with one, we gave him Rugrat underwear and that was it. The other two, the girls, were a bit harder for some reason.
We are currently in the process of training our last, he’s 2-years-old and wants to some days and the days he doesn’t it can become a mess. The potty chair is in the living room, he …read more

I couldn’t help but laugh today when I read Extraordinary Mom’s post on “Bribery aheam- I Mean Reward.” How many of us haven’t used bribery to get ouroung one to do something? She’s currently going through the potty training phase, so lets all head over there and pop in with a few ideas. I know we’ve bribed with hot wheel cars and for the girls once they were completely done it was a Barbie Doll. What did your child get as a potty training reward?

Moms and dads, earlier today I came across a blog that has decided it is time to teach her quads how to use the potty. While this would be a nightmare alone just teaching one I could only imagine four at one time wanting to learn. But there is more of an issue as she’s discovered she also has a weak stomach when it comes to poop.
Do you have any advice for her? Do you have advice for Got Quads? Maybe you have more than one or have just had enough experience that you could share your wisdom. …read more

How young is too young to potty train? My last two that went through the potty training phase did so around 2 going on 3 years of age. My first, which was over 10 years ago learned at a young age but we constantly moved..in the end he was finally out of diapers at 3.
My youngest, which turns 1 on Friday, has been constantly taking off his diaper or getting out the diapers. At first I thought this was just a coincidence but every time he brings one his diaper is wet. So, does this mean he is ready?
Normally I …read more
6 Days and Counting

6 days until Mothers’ Day and you’ll be relieved to hear I won’t be teaching my three year-old how to scramble eggs for the main breakfast in bed event. Toast is fine, I just hope I don’t get any crumbs on the baby’s head. Does every child insist on nursing the moment their mothers prepare to eat or is it just me?
I often think the only thing mothers have in common is that we’re all women with children. That’s probably why it doesn’t take long to embroil a new mother in a passionate argument. The opportunity to stake out a …read more
