Why, yes, writing that headline was the highlight of my blogging career.
Is there anyone who was not moved by Marcie’s description of her family’s very personal charitable Christmas in support of Friends of Russian Orphans? Is there anyone who could not relate to Steve’s concern and interest in the Russian Children’s Welfare Society? Was everyone as shocked as I was to learn that 700,000 Russian children live in orphanages like the one Marcie described?
Marcie, Steve, were you two working together? Well, I don’t suppose it matters if you were or weren’t because you’re sharing your Christmas gift from me.

Marcie, Steve, were you two working together? Well, I don’t suppose it matters if you were or weren’t because you’re sharing your Christmas gift from me.

Marcie, I don’t know if it was a temporary glitch or an on-going issue, but the FORO site wasn’t accepting online donations either of the times I visited it. I hope you can forgive me, but I was working on such tight deadlines that I didn’t have time to chase down a giving opportunity in time for Christmas.

That’s why I was so grateful that Steve’s entry came in at just the right moment. Through the Russian Children’s Welfare Society I was able to make a $20 donation to an organization that supports Russia’s orphanages and, more importantly, the children who live there.
