SoccerBoy doesn’t mind placing the sheets up but he says no thanks on playing the game. But it seems their youngest, Little A, is a bit more inventive and doesn’t believe in all the begging for hanging blankets. He simply emptied a drawer and went inside. This is how I actually found him. Got any kids like him? Happy WW! Link up to your wordless Wednesday post.

I believe seeing his sister get a shot was just too much for him. Happy WW! When was the last time you took that little one in your arms, sucked in really deep and just inhaled their scent?

For some reason they had the cooler on and people were inside wearing jackets, course since it is summer we don’t have those in the car. So we had to suck it up, the girls curled into me for body heat as they said and the hubby went to the car.

This picture was taken after the hubby and SoccerBoy brought in two blankets and two sweaters for the girls. Everyone was happy and as you can see Little A was definitely warm. It began storming right after this (downpour type) so we were lucky to have brought these inside. Gotta love how you can have somewhat clear skies and suddenly get a downpour. As for what we ate, the young ones all had the silver 5 and one funny face, I had the new Hawaiin pancakes with cream cheese in it.

Today, even though he’s 12 he still goes down but only on the big twisty ones and normally with one of his younger siblings.

Here’s a pic of the youngest going down the slide at the office picnic we went to last week. Doesn’t he look like he’s having a blast? You wouldn’t know a few minutes prior to this he’d fallen down and hurt himself. Happy Wordless Wednesday!

While he has got to talk with him on the phone just about every night he seems to be struggling a bit with missing his favorite person. Thankfully we found our “Daddy Doll” from when their daddy did go to Iraq for the Marines and I had it made for the kids to hug when they missed him. As you can see, this doll works perfectly for that. The doll may not be able to tickle his tummy or play with him he can carry him around and sleep beside him.

Here’s my son at his preschool graduation, so many years ago. The memory is very fresh, he even had a painted pot to give to me.

Now check him out, still smiling for his mommy. Course this was done outside the school. Happy WW!

Today, I got to watch one of the birds take their first flight. Woo hoo! She/he didn’t get far but they’ve never used their wings, she/he made it across the street. The momma hovering back and forth. I’m not sure if they’ll come back once they leave their nest but I’ve had fun watching them grow and so have the kids. Earlier I heard them chirping back and forth but that’s stopped now so either they are back in their nest or gone on. This makes me think of our own children once they learn everything needed for life, thank goodness it isn’t all done in a month right? Happy WW!

There’s just something about spring and I can’t wait to see these babies hatch. Spring just has that magic in the air of all new things coming to life, from those that give birth to the bears that are coming out of hibernation. Currently the tree just outside my balcony is sprouting green spuds all over and it is one of the prettiest sights I’ve seen.

It wasn’t until the kids pointed out we had eggs in the nest on the front porch did it dawn on me that we had finally hit spring. Yes, I know we’ve been in spring for a while but this screams it. We’ve watched as the male and female bird hover over their nest and take care of it. The female tends to sit on top of the house and squack at anyone that passes by. The male sits on the porch rail and waits until you leave, if the door is left open he peers over to check on it. I was able to get a quick shot when neither were near it though, but it didn’t take long for them to come along. What do you think of Spring? Happy WW! Don’t forget to leave your link.

Imagine now one being a 2-year-old and three other siblings. Of course I’m hoping that there is no fighting or too much grouchiness. So far it has been quiet, but we have another 10 hours left. EEEK! I say 10 due to the potty breaks and the I’m hungry when do we eat stops. Plus I count traffic in the city. So we’ll see when we actually get to our arrival. No one is really expecting us so I’m not worried about arriving on time. Check out this picture of Little A.

IMG: The Life of a Home Mom

Now tell me kids can’t get comfortable in the weirdest positions. By the way, he’s actually sitting upright and head laying down on a pillow his brother laid on him. He insisted his head was getting tired and looked like he needed one. Happy WW! Don’t forget to comment and leave your link.

Over the weekend Little A and the rest of us decided to hop on over to the annual Bunny Hop. What’s a Bunny Hop? Not to worry I didn’t know what this was the first time I attended either, but it is great fun for the little ones. Basically we all gather in downtown, it’s the old downtown which is very small and adorable and at a certain time the Easter bunny comes hopping down the road for all the kids to see. This year he passed out candy, to be honest I didn’t think Little A would take to him because he’s afraid of ANYTHING in costume. (we went to Red Robin and the bird had to FLY as fast as possible out of sight)

IMG: The Life of a Home Mom

At first, I walked slowly towards the bunny and he kept shaking his head no and I thought Oh boy here goes. Instead though, he started seeing tons of kids by this big white thing with floppy ears and it was giving them candy. Instantly he smiled and asked for ‘Kaklit,” which means chocolate.

After they greet the bunny they all follow the bunny in a march down main street to the mini park and those that brought baskets can get them judged for a prize and those that didn’t can go store to store saying “Happy Easter” and receive a piece of candy or token. This in a way is like Halloween, where kids do the whole trick or treating, but it is still fun and controlled. No kids are getting stepped on running for eggs.

Happy Wordless errr, wordy Wednesday!!
